Sunny ... Just sent you a mesage at your SFSU address. Let me reproduce it here:
----------------
Sunny,
Not sure if you will get this. But I am going to give your name to my doctoral student Chua Bann, who will be at IRRI next week. She is doing some work on the intellectual history of the Green Revolution. Never been to the RP before, though IRRI has gone all out to help arrange her trip.
I have JUST seen that you are making "blog" entries. So you must be on-line there!
Anyway, Bann is pretty self-sufficient. So she may or may not give you a call ... It will be up to her to find your number there. One thought that I had was that the chance to have a word or two about long-term developments at IRRI with your folks might serve her well, if that were not too much of an imposition. If so, not to worry.
Just saw the program for July's extravaganza today. I wish that I could be there to hear your paper.
Regards to all,
Mike
PS. Do send news of LB ... Is Mrs Tablante's house still there in Demarses?

And, speaking of "that dinner", I offered my own comment on the event in a Jakarta Post op-ed piece, run on Tuesday.
