Okay, I need help. Is anyone else on Blogger having trouble publishing any posts, or fixing the template? While I've posted successfully before, nothing seems to be coming through now, and there's nothing on the Blogger status page that says anything's wrong.
The class blogs are all hosted on Blogspot (not an outside FTP server). Everytime I try to publish, i.e., literally clicking on "publish," I get an endless loop of the "Publishing Your Blog" screen -- at no point do I get a session timeout message, or any error message whatsoever.
If I were to make a guess, my problems started happening after I made the Windows XP Service Pack 2 update... But my cookies are enabled, and so are the pop-ups. I've also used both Internet Explorer and Firefox, to no avail.
Can anyone help?
On the Blogger page, Blogger says they have a problem related to publishing posts, and they're trying to fix it now....but obviously not yet fixed...!
I was having problems posting today, but switched from Safari to Explorer and that did the trick...
Posted by: Veronica on September 8, 2004 12:40 PMthat happens to me sometimes on the mac. i'll try to hit back and hope the post is still there and hit save draft instead. people who don't want to lose their blog drafts should either hit the save button intermittantly or write it in Word or text edit then post. then again, what's a blog when you can't lose it all to cyberspace? An uncertain science really.
Posted by: gura on September 8, 2004 05:24 PMWhen I recently upgraded my EE, I messed up everything on the main path. Damage control, I used Blogger just so an index page would be visible. I maintained it for about two weeks. Then I gave it up. Readers started complaining about getting a blank page. Those who didn't get a blank page said they had to reload the page to view the latest entry. Ayaw ko na.
Double effort na lang to fix whatever the problem was with my upgrade.

FINALLY I GAVE UP AND CHANGED TEMPLATES,EVERYTHING CAME BACK AND I WAS ABLE TO POST. I WAS MESSING WITH THE TEMPLATE HTML TRYING TO ADD LINKS SO I MIGHT HAVE MESSED IT MYSELF.IF YOU FIND OTHERS ANSWERS PLEASE LET ME KNOW.THANKS.
Thanks, folks -- the problem was indeed announced by Blogger on their status page, maybe 12 hours (it sure seemed that way) after I was gnashing my teeth trying to figure out what was going on.
