They're probably the most important American band with a Filipino (or more) in it (and now that I think of other groups -- the Black Eyed Peas, N.E.R.D., Slint, Ida, the Invisibl Skratch Piklz -- the Pixies crushed them all).
I really wanted to get Joy Division, if that was an option. But I guess I'm more Ian McCulloch than Ian Curtis.
