Went on sale Sunday, 8 nights sold out in 8 minutes, 3 additional nights sold out in the same amount of time... and then my psychic friend Eloise (with whom I was doing clairvoyance tests back in first year high school) does the impossible: while scrubbing the toilet, she thinks to herself, "Hey, maybe I should go check out Ticketmaster," in the incredibly slim chance that someone's credit card didn't get approved and the tickets were released to the general public... and drops the toilet wand, washes her hands, and goes to the computer, on Tuesday afternoon at 4:30.

hey, i know the second guitarist in the new smashing pumpkins -- he left grad school at ucla (comp lit) to be in the band! we were in an asian american cultural studies reading group together last year. haha.
anyway, i too want that shirt and think that's pretty cool news about la nora.

Posted by: the wily filipino on May 24, 2007 11:56 PMno kidding. when i found that i was now two degrees from billy corgan -- what?! smashing pumpkins is my husband's favorite band ever so he thought it was cool that i knew one of the new band members. unfortunately, i don't know jeff well enough to ask for special perks! he's already gotten requests from his former adviser for tix for her kids. i thought that was funny, especially since she initially discouraged him from leaving grad school; it wasn't until her kids told her how cool the band was that she changed her tune.
