"The Right really wants to punish you for having an opinion"??
So if the Left has an opinion, and the Right doesnt agree, they should just shut up about it and not express their right to prove them otherwise? Or is he telling the Right how to disagree? Is that it?
Entertainers receive alot of their money from people like myself. Coming from the middle, if I don't like what an entertainer has to say, oh yes, I'm goin to take my money elsewhere. Apparently some entertainers do not realize this.
And no, I am not Michelle Malkin.
I think Ebert's point in the passage I quoted was that the right, according to him, "just want to shut other people up." And this, I think, was the gist of Springsteen's comments as well, if not the controversy surrounding the Dixie Chicks in general.
Coincidentally, your previous comments about the Dixie Chicks -- "they need to stop their whining" -- simply proves his point.
Too bad you aren't really Michelle Malkin -- that would have been soooooo cool.
Posted by the wily filipino at April 25, 2003 01:10 PMIt's always about money, isn't it? My precious tax dollars going to the unworthy. When are the so-called capitalists going to admit that they have been gulled by mercantilist dinosaurs. It isn't about left and right anymore, emmalyn. It's multi level marketing schemes, erosion of civil liberties, introducing sick variables in the eco system, proselytizing rolex preachers with hard hair, politicians without an ethical compass. . .
Pardon my rant, Wily. I like your blog very much. Came here via Mac Diva's blog.
